WHY AN ISRAEL TOOLKIT?

The Israel Toolkit is an internal URJ resource, developed to support the URJ Camps and Immersive Experiences staff training and preparation for welcoming Israelis and fostering meaningful mifgashim - encounters - between Israeli and Diaspora peers. It was developed to be additive to Israel planning, grounded with clear messaging, and built upon our Reform Jewish values from shared and collective wisdom. The Israel Toolkit is not a curriculum, or prescribed way that our programs must teach Israel. Rather, it’s a guide and a set of resources to help expand on what exists, promote healthy conversation and dialogue, and foster communities of belonging.
